Shaikha Tareef is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) UK with more than twenty years of experience.

Shaikha is the Chief Financial Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Bahrain and ME, exc. UAE. She is responsible for the for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities. Shaikha joined Standard Chartered Bank in 2013 as Senior Manager Finance Risks mainly to lead and manage the Financial Controls team in Bahrain. In 2016 she was appointed as Senior Manager Financial and Regulatory Reporting before she becomes Bahrain Chief Financial Officer in February 2017.

 Shaikha has been a member of the Finance Diversity and Inclusion Group 2018-2019 and is a member of the GCFO Culture and Inclusion Council 2020-2022.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank, Shaikha has been working at KPMG since 2003. She has worked in both the financial services sector in Bahrain and in London and on her return to Bahrain in 2009 she specialized in the Oil & Gas sector.
